Nicholas G. Koontz is a production professional with credits in theatre, television, film and digital media. He has produced and directed Equity stage shows, a cable series for SportsChannel, served as Director of Photography for Independent film and contributed his camera and post-production skills to countless projects for clients and as a freelancer for Staging Techniques Inc. (NYC). A few recent and notable freelance gigs have been: lead camera for the Microsoft Vista release engagement at the Nokia Theatre (NYC), featuring Bill Gates and Steve Bollmer, the ICP Awards 2008 at Pier 60 (NYC), which featured Diane Keaton as one of the recipients, and the Met Opera Guild Pavarotti Tribute at Town Hall (NYC).
Currently, Nick is CEO of Video Arts Systems & Technology, Inc., a digital media production company, and CEO of InnerGate Entertainment, LLC, both located in New Jersey. InnerGate Entertainment (www.InnerGate-Entertainment.com) is a producer of independent feature and television properties.
As a digital media expert, Nick has consulted for the Sony National Training Center, Princeton University, the City of Philadelphia's Office of Cable Television, AT&T, DuPont, Connoco Oil, Comcast Cable, and many others. His production skills have enhanced commercially produced CD-ROM titles such as The Amistad Incident, Norman Rockwell: The Man & His Art, Tall Ships - Opsail 2000, to name a few, for publisher Cinegram Media Inc., and has authored DVD masters for clients and a major replicator/duplicator.
Mr. Koontz is also very fluent in the latest digital distribution methods and techniques for media on the Internet, such as streaming and Flash.
